Doglets of a Sunday Joyish Day 🤩
It’s wonderful feeling to be spending a few moments in the garden. Even if its not my own garden, getting some free dog therapy. With two little gems. Anytime we can spend time with animals is great time for the soul. It’s basically a free therapeutic session.
Rocket 🚀 & Zac, two little bundles of energy & love. Individuals that enjoy the company of good people and a cheeky little mid day snack although I wasn’t going to spoil them today. After all I ain’t their daddy.
Rocket, he is the younger of the two. The one sitting by my lap, at the bottom of the kids slide.
Rocket has calmed down every so slightly since his seed production vessels were snipped off by the vet.
He got his name from his sheer speed, coupled with his unholy ability to launch himself at ease. Up and over obstacles, fences, walls is normally his mission. His brother Zac on the other hand is more refined. Mostly wanting nothing more than a little rub, he will be happy with just a head rub. Stop rubbing him & you will soon find yourself greeted with his little paw tapping at you for attention. He’s a cute bastard.
Having inherited a neighbours cat a few years back when they left was great. It’s really nice to have life in the garden. Although this inherited kitty came with some and habits she was a farm cat. She is sometimes a torturous bitch, particually in the spring. She has made a few little birdies her dinner even though she’s always well fed. The only saving grace is she doesn’t do it just for sport. She actually fully eats what she catches. A double bell system around her neck & some well timed shouts sometimes manages to curtail the inevitable.
Somehow we also managed to groom a stray make cat in to being accustomed to food and humans! Having pets and looking after them, making sure they are cared for when you go away on holiday goes along way on my book. Met many tied up dogs in farm yards over the years… What a life 🙁
Cruelty with capitala “C“. Animal cruelty deserves prison sentences, Ireland is slow in conformity when it comes to punishment for animal abuse, but we will get there one day. Traveler’s have recorded themselves racing down the n7 and other national roads in crazy traffic for the crack of it. Scum bags in my opinion and they need to be punished for that sort if abuse.
