Once upon a time on an internet radio show many years ago I was a superstar in the making, albeit it all in my head, I was Dj 80′ a slick fun full of spunk presenter who believed he in bringing a voice to the masses and pumping out tunes go many genres and years. With a passion for 80’s music, house and anything with a beat the shows were that of self indulgence ego and vanity.
The purpose of the the radio station which was called InvovledFM (the fun media station) was to have on guest up and coming Dj’s and singer song writers, we were able to and had broadcasted live show from around Ireland from venues like the Button Factory, Bewely’s theatre, the Turks head basement. At one point we rigged up a flatbed truck with two 18″ Bass Bins two 15″ Tops full DJ rig, two 5kva generators, apple mac mini a camera setup for live show and all this for a Saint Patricks Day Parade. We did loads and had great fun, Sadly my condition worsened and the tiredness overwhelmed me to the point where I left everything this was coupled with he fact that one of my helpers decided that he was going to the social to say I was making money from the Dj’s on the show and that it was a full on business rather than a passion project. However after a full pants down inspection and due diligence by the necessary parties it was show to be a dirty fabrication of the truth, it was just jealousy that sparked the lies, so be careful who you befriend over the years one may try stab you in the back
So where are we know with our love for music and our passion for networking and helping others? Well great news is on the horizon, we’ve managed to startup the fire that was InvolvedFM.
