It might of seemed like a good idea to go from zero to hero in a few weeks but alas no. When the camera rolls the ego sets sail on a merry adventure to protect you and keep you safe. Ballocks! It’s an over used mechanism from the dark ages and here Is the proof.

This little exercise adventure left my in bed for the rest of the day. Not so much muscles soreness nut over all fatigue. Coupled with knee caps that felt like the had been grinding bone on bone for the time under pressure.
With that said the Nordic Poles made this all possible, I could use my upper body strength to keep me going as I got more and more fatigued and sore.

Detriment I say! need to see a orthopaedic surgeon for the last four years been on a list. Sometimes when I least expect it my left knee will lock up solid with chronic pain. It gets stuck in place until I manoeuvre myself in to a place to free it up, that’s a right shit show as sometimes its a step, a curb , a ladder or stairs.

When I was away with my friend, we were coming down a spiral staircase in Krakow Poland, a narrow one behind me 6/7 peopled guess what? my poor banjo’d knee locked up frozen. Eventually got we all got down, people were cool about it. Have to admit felt a little sad, reminded that I’m getting older. One day soon I will need to get things on my body fixed, you know to enjoy a normal life like the rest of the world.Hard to convey this to people as when the look at me or meet me for the first time the don’t see arthritis, or fibromyalgia they just see Al. An “Al” that may of frequented the gym the day before. When the reality of it is This AL HASN’T SEEN THE INSIDE OF A GYM IN YEARS.

So what possessed me to start back doing this stuff, strength exercise? well Im 205 pounds of unadulterated fatness and that’s another heart attack waiting to happen and I don’t want to die just yet, i’ve a lot of writing and challenges and adventures to do first. It’s important to leave something behind before check out time.

Bare in mind had warmed up for 5 minuets prior to having the foresight to record the video.

The next day I did the 9k walk. The post is a few posts back if your curious how that went. So without further adoooooooo here is the optical proof that I did exercise.
